One should be able to drag a file and drop it onto a contact in the roster, or an existing chat session with a contact, to send it to that contact.

A pop-up notification when a message is received would be a nice feature. Also the ability to set the amount of time the pop-up stays visible for.

Allowing the appeal for assistance online via the OpenFire FastPath or similar.

If Pandion becomes disconnected, it should automatically try to reconnect.

A built in spell check when typing a message would nice.

Navigating a long contact list by scrolling is impractical. Sorting contacts in groups barely helps. Pandion needs the find-as-you-type searching and sorting. Several other IM clients already implement this in some way.

If a workstation is locked the autoaway feature does not work.

i feel the message history needs to be maintained independent of contacts preferably as individual files as:

1. it allows viewing history even when the contact has been deleted

2. the user need not be logged into pandion to view the history

instead of just displaying "pandion" the icon should display the status:

* as idle, available, etc.
* moreover the icon color should grey out if the network is not available, so that the user knows visually that he has been disconnected

the main window should be skinnable. frankly one may get tired of viewing the contacts in the whitish background and groups in bluish color.

When typing messages with paragraphs or line endings it would be good to not have to press Shift+Enter. Option should provide choice of the hotkey for sending a message. Enter/Return key with a Ctrl/Shift/Alt modifier or without modifier.

Does is possible to add options with combination on keyboard to hide Pandion on system tray to be locked him and when is locked to mute all sounds, and to ulock him with password.

when i enter a hyperlink in a message and immediately enter a punctuation mark (.,?). upon submission, the punctuation mark becomes a part of the hyperlink.

this needs to be avoided.

Have a way to put the newly added user in a group.

copying message contents from an active conversation to another breaks the message as the time-stamp and the username interfere with the message.
